Corrections policy

We would rather be told about an error than have it sit uncorrected. If you spot one on Blog Herald, write to corrections@brownbrothers.io with the link and the detail. We aim to respond within 48 hours, and we read everything that arrives.

Notes and silent fixes

Factual errors are always corrected. A dated note is added at the foot of the article when the error was material or the revision substantially changes what the article told readers. Fixes that leave the substance unchanged, such as spelling, formatting, a broken or replaced link, or a clarification, may be made without a note.

Withdrawals

When an article’s central claim cannot stand, we withdraw it rather than patch it, and where appropriate a notice remains at the original address explaining that the article was removed and why.

Opinion

Disagreement is not an error. We do not edit articles to reflect a reader’s different view, and opinion pieces are corrected only for matters of fact.
