This development is due to its integration with top consent management platforms: OneTrust, Complianz, and Axeptio. The collaboration aims to make the consent collection process more efficient, offering users a seamless experience while adhering to stringent privacy standards.

The objective behind this alliance is to expedite load times once users consent to cookies. It would serve as a valuable tool for search engine optimization (SEO) experts to refine their strategies. The announcement came from Barry Pollard, of Google’s Chrome User Experience Report (CrUX) team who pointed out the potential of faster load times in enhancing user satisfaction.

This update will also directly benefit SEO professionals, allowing them to make their websites more attractive to search engines and increase the ability to attain high rankings. The project is a part of a larger endeavour to create a user-centric web environment by CrUX, which sees the integration as a significant step towards accomplishing this mission.

Google’s partnership with the aforementioned platforms has not only increased the efficiency of the INP evaluation, particularly when users provide their cookies consent, but has also led to a significant improvement in INP scores on websites using these platforms. The emphasis on user’s cookie consent has streamlined the process, providing a more user-friendly internet.

INP, replacing First Input Delay (FID), measures the time lapse between a user’s interaction with a webpage and the browser’s display of adjusted pixels.
