I am proud to announce yet another new columnist at the Blog Herald, Lance Weiler! Lance will be joining our family as a biweekly columnist focusing on all things digital media, particularly how it relates to social media, blogging, and social networks. So, where does Lance get the chops to write about this kind of stuff?
Well, Lance is an award winning writer and director, and a pioneer in digital film as well. One of his more recent movies movies, The Last Broadcast, IS currently distributed in over 20 countries, and has the disctinction of being hte first all digital release of a motion picture. Moreover, it has recently finished a run on HBO and the IFC (Independent Film Channel). Lance has even been featured in Times, Forbes, has been on television program such as Entertainment tonight and CNN. Wired recognized Lance as “one of the twenty-five people helping to re-invent entertainment and change the face of Hollywood”.
No stranger to writing either, Lance has lectured at universities and film socities about content creation and distribution in the digital age, and has even spoken at the Cannes and Sundance Film Festivals.
