Fox Searchlight illuminates blog

Fox Searchlight may be the first movie studio to have an official blog. It’s a quick read; a few items a day, with links to new reviews, box office performance updates, information about premieres and sneak previews, and latest updates from films currently in production.

Lately, it’s all “In America,” all the time, but it’s not all company news: There’s a sincere recent post to the director of “One Hour Photo” wishing him luck in the competition for MTV Video of the Year.

The blog puts a human(-izing) face on a rather large corporation, without any flashing banner ads or marketing blather, and that’s definitely a good thing.
