Using Google as a Diagnostic Tool

Studies show that on average, doctors misdiagnose disease about 20% of the time. This is because doctors have to carry around millions of medical facts in their heads, but with the pace at which the field is growing, this is not always sufficient. In lieu of this, doctors are turning more and more to the web as a diagnostic tool.

Google searches found the correct diagnosis in 15 (58 per cent) of cases.
