Though no official word has come from the microblogging company, Twitter could well be about to secure $100m in more investment, taking its value to an estimated $1bn.
This investment is believed to be coming from six or more investors, including several who have previously injected cash into the company.
Twitter continues to gain in popularity (you only have to look at how many Twitter stories we’ve covered recently) despite the fact that it isn’t making any money and is still keeping away from ads.
This investment is all very well, but those handing out the money are going to want to see tangible results (i.e. cash) sooner rather than later.
