The 2007 Philippine Blog Awards

We at the Blog Herald like to give recognition to notable blogs, not only through linklove and mentions here on the site itself, but also through other venues. We especially love it when blogs and bloggers are given recognition by their peers. And so we are proud to announce our involvement in the 2007 Philippine Blog Awards as a major sponsor.

The Philippine Blog Awards aims to recognize notable Filipino-owned blogs in their respective niches. With topics ranging from the arts, culture, technology and politics, Filipinos have become more abreast because of the fast growing blogging industry here and abroad. The Philippine Blog Awards is a venue to showcase notable blogs with quality content that engages readers from around the globe.

The nominees are categorized into personal, entertainment, technology, travel, socio-political, hope & living, photoblog, podcast, news & media, business & entrepreneurship, and sports & recreation. There will also be special awards for blog design.

The blogs will be judged mostly according to content (40%), but other criteria will also factor in, including design, appeal and context, consistency, and mileage.
