Steve Rubel plugging Spam Blog?

I’ve got a lot of time for Steve Rubel, but sometimes he doesn’t dig deep enough with posts. Today he posted at Micro Persuasion about a new site by the name of NewsMeaL (no follow used).

At first glance you’d think the site was a new, abeit fairly lame looking news aggregation site, and certainly there’s no advertising on the site. Dig a little deeper and you find that the site is ripping full RSS feeds from well know blogs such as Defamer, Perez Hilton, Curbed, Engadget…to name but a few. Sure, they are linking back and crediting the source, but they are still publishing full feeds, full stories from a list of bloggers and blog companies…including ripping the full feed from Micro Persuasion as well.

Smells like a spam blog, looks like a spam blog….is a spam blog, and just because it doesn’t have ads now doesn’t mean they won’t have any shortly.
