Sportingo network acquired by Tixdaq

The UK-based Sportingo sports network has been acquired by entertainment ticket listing service Tixdaq.com.

Sportingo includes the Caught Offside football blog and the Get Sport video portal, and receives a reported one million visitors each month. It’s written exclusively by sports fans rather than journalists.

CEO of Sportingo, Ze’ev Rozov, said that the deal would enable the company to further develop its technology and integrate its content on the ticketing site.

Seems like a fairly logical acquisition, given that Tixdaq sells tickets for a wide variety of sporting events and Sportingo reports on them.
