Putting Google’s Ad Muscles in Context

According to the BBC News, the ad projections for Google will exceed the Channel 4, and then later on this year, likely surpass ITV1. Just how much cash does this represent? More than 1.5B dollars. And is the search media giant slowing down? Consider this:

Last month Google revealed global third quarter profits of $733m (£390m). This was a 92% increase on the $381m it made during the same time last year.

I guess another side of this is that it makes Google all the bigger target for all kinds of swipes. After all, “frivolous” isn’t strong enough a word to describe the lawsuit uTube is bringing against YouTube. Maybe “laughable” is better.
