Only 6% of Americans read blogs: study

A new study of 68,664 people from Forrester Research found that only 6% of Americans reported reading blogs.

The study, widely mentioned in the main stream media, also found that only 2% of Americans reported using RSS.

However, what was not made clear from the study results is whether the participants were actually asked if they knew what a blogs or RSS was, a problem that has been discovered previously, where many people read blogs or use RSS services (including My Yahoo!) without realizing the name of the technology they were viewing or using.
