Gordon Brown’s labor government is experimenting with new ways to communicate to British subjects, according to this piece in The Guardian.
Since hiring Mark Flanagan, the former head of LBC radio, into the government as Head of Digital Communications, many new methods appears to be in the works for digital communications. One of the first has been the utilization of Twitter by Number 10 Downing Street as a method of communication.
Tweets can be seen at their Twitter page – which shows that they are using web 2.0 tools like Twhirl and Twitterfeed in order to power their Twitter usage.
They’re even asking for feedback after the Guardian article’s publications – their most recent tweet as of this writing:
