Not just another Typo

Another player in the blogware field has been recently released, and no, it’s not just a case of hitting a wrong key on the keyboard. Typo is billed as “an absolutely minimal weblogging engine which comes without an admin interface. Its configured the first time you start it using a simple web form and after that you use it by posting from a rich desktop client application like MarsEdit or similar”. Popular Apple tool ecto, and w.blogger are also compatible.

The list of features looks impressive, although at this early stage it may be better left to more experienced users. The lack of a web based interface also throws the standard pratice on its head, and it will be interesting to see whether it’s not changed later.
