The centre of the WordPress/ search engine manipulation storm, Matt Mullenweg, founder of WordPress, has just found out about Waxy.org and Andy Baio’s character assassination, according to a post on his blog.
He writes that he found out during a phone conversation with his sister, who pointed out that his name had started appearing on Google News. In Mullenweg’s words, his stomach sank. Fortunately he has his laptop with him and has travelled this morning (Italian time) to an airport with internet access and is currently trying to deal with 1000’s of emails and comments. Honourably, he has noted that he is going to try to respond to the many emails personally.
