Marketing and PR powerhouse, Method Communications, announced Katy Spaulding as its new Chief Operating Officer (COO).
Spaulding’s role will be overseeing financial obligations, the human resources department, and general operations. Bringing her extensive experience gathered from more than 16 years in midsize PR agencies, such as Allison and WE Communications, Spaulding steps up as the successor of Heather England.
Heather England transitions to an advisory role after a decade with Method. She will leverage her deep understanding of the company’s operations and its growth journey.
As a seasoned veteran in the sector, Spaulding’s previously held roles included being the general manager for Allison’s northwest region and serving as their debut chief of staff. She has a notable track record of successful collaboration with major brands like Toyota, Budweiser, and Microsoft.
David Parkinson, the CEO and co-founder of Method, expressed high praise for Spaulding. He anticipates her diverse experience to be a significant asset as the firm transitions to a midsize organization.

Despite being based out of Method’s Portland office, Spaulding plans to maintain direct contact with other branches via regular travel.
