Is not blogging the new un-cool?

Has popular culture embraced blogging to such an extent that not blogging is now somehow seen as strange, or un-cool at least amongst certain professions?

Take this interview at Nerve.com of author Douglas Coupland. Question 4: “Why don’t you blog?”, which was proceeded without any discussion of blogging at all. Totally out of the blue and seemingly out of context, and hence validated, in the eyes of the reader, as a question worthy of asking within its own right and context.
