Formerly popular with forums and discussion communities, the structured data tool now includes author details from any profile page. As such, creators like culinary bloggers can display their professional info—like culinary achievements, tiktok followers, or published works more comfortably. This tool isn’t exclusively for structured data; it is a flexible, dynamic platform that can fit the demands of multiple industries.
The change also involves a rephrasing of the introductory paragraph to clarify Google’s use of structured data in search results. Now, ‘Perspectives’ has been supplanted with references to ‘Forums’, more closely aligning with Google Search.

With this recent update, the ProfilePage structured data markup—applicable on any creator’s profile page— has accrued further importance. Google’s updated guidelines further show that other structured data tools, such as Article and Recipe structured data with author details can be linked to pages with the ProfilePage markup.
