eConnect Looks to Fill BlogRush’s Shoes

Remember BlogRush? Back in October ’08 the site – which had promised a “rush” of traffic to your blog – closed its doors.

Believed to be a scam by some and a useful tool by others, the concept was relatively simple; place a widget on your site that shows links from other “related” blogs and in return earn “credits” for your headlines to be shown on other related blogs.

Looking to fill the void left by Blog Rush’s death, is eConnect (Entrepreneurs Connect) – a free service that shares and displays members’ latest RSS entries across the network.
The aforementioned network is comprised of 30 different categories and participating Websites are regularly inspected to ensure that requirements are met.

eConnect widgets are available in many different colors and sizes.

According to the eConnect Website:

By joining the Entrepreneurs Connect network, you will:

* Obtain online exposure to like-minded people.

* You will receive targeted traffic from the network.

* You will get to know more like-minded people and leverage the resources around you.

* (Optional) You will have a profile page on BusinessMinder.net.

I am a believer that early adoptors get the worm, but as with all third-party code, please proceed at your own risk. I’ll likely sit this one out until I get some reputable feedback.
