Cox to bark up new tree

Ana Marie Cox, she on Wonkette fame, is moving on to newer lampposts with the Washington Times reporting that she is leaving a litter of Gawker Media to pursue her career as an author, with her first book Dog Days being released this week, and a big bone thrown her way by means of a contract for a second book.

Replacing Cox as top dog at Wonkette is David Lat, a 30-year-old lawyer who anonymously wrote the legal blog Underneath Their Robes. Alex Pareene, 20, who has been a guest editor at Gawker.com, will join Lat as coeditor.
