Chinese blog star permanently censored

Chinese blog star “Sister Lotus” has had her blog blocked by Chinese authorities for apparently becoming too famous.

Shi Hengxia first started blogging during her unsuccessful battle to get into China’s best universities, and grew a cult following which led to widespread exposure across China, including on State run television.

The Telegraph reports that only a few days ago, Sister Lotus was planning a lucrative media career on the back of her blog, however now the Sister Lotus phenomenon is history.
