BlogShares closed down

Seyed Razavi, creator of BlogShares, the fantasy blog sharemarket game, has announced the closure of the site after 9 months of development due to ongoing technical and funding difficulties. The site, whilst for many a fad, had a hard core bunch of bloggers supporting it, and spurned a number of syndicates, groupings, plugins and even its on micro-media with blogs such as the Blog Street Journal. BlogShares did a great job in promoting blogging and new blogs and it will be missed, and we can only hope that either Seyed sells the site or somebody sets up a new Blog shares style game for the quieter moments in the blogosphere.
