Instablogs just launched two new gadget blogs, USB Gadgets and Travel Gadgets. The blog network now has 14 gadget blogs, a little micro blog network in its own.
I think it’€™s a pretty good idea, not making a humongous gadget site Engadget style. You’€™ll have to be a pretty die hard gadget fanatic (like me) to really browse these sites. Most of us (unlike me) tend to lean on a smaller niche rather than gadgets overall. Like mobile phones, HDTV, digital cameras, MP3 players and so on.
So Instablogs are doing the right thing, launching niche gadget blogs. They can link each other and therefore give a pretty solid gadget scope, but the fact that every site is focused on one thing (well’€¦ but you get the point) distances them from the major players like Engadget and Gizmodo.
