New Technorati state of the blogosphere reports

David Sifry over at Technorati has lauched a new series of State of the Blogosphere reports based on Technorati’s tracking stats, the first in six months. The first post is here. As always I’ll qualify that when Sifry talks about the Blogosphere, he’s talking about what Technorati tracks, not the total number of blogs out there, but unlike market research companies and Pew Internet surveys, when Sifry talks numbers you listen, because you cant really beat a sample size of over 14 million blogs. So interesting stats in the first report, and if it runs to form from six months ago, there is bound to be some really good stuff over the next few days as well.
