Google/Blog and real inspiration

Duncan Riley> I’m definitely becoming more cynical as I get older. A few days ago I noticed a link on the Daypop Top 40 and chose to ignore it, but it kept on climbing the ranks. Now the whole point of the Blog Herald is to report blogging related news but I’m yet to be convinced this is a story, yet others are reporting it as a major revelation: the item: www.google.com/blog. Rumour has it that this will be the site of the official Google Blog. Only time will tell, but a site that has as its only text “test” doesn’t tell us a lot about the intent. Maybe Google is going to rebrand Blogger as Google Blogs, or GBlogs keeping in line with its much vaunted email service? Who knows?
But on a positive note there was a link worthy of praise: Ro London of Intersmash has provided 300 images from 1800 sites in a page of inspiration to those of us who tinker with design: http://www.intersmash.com/300images/
