Gawker Media, under the stewardship of expatriate Englishman Nick Denton is set to launch his latest blog Sploid.com, in a style that is part Drudge and part British tabloid newspaper.
According to NY Observed, Denton has stated the he intends of positioning the blog somewhere in the center politically in what he sees as a market ripe for new competition, and aims at challenging Drudge by covering stories that he doesn’t, or won’t cover.
At the time of writing Spoid was not live.
