Creative Weblogging Ltd. Completes First Round of Financing

Blog network Creative Weblogging has announced that it has successfully completed its first investment round.

The company raised an undisclosed amount from angel investors to expand its 45 blog network.

Investors include:

— Nils Weitemeyer and Jan Andresen, co-founders of mobile entertainment provider Elkware

— Stefan Wiskemann – co-founder of community publishing solutions provier 21Publish

“The substantial investment confirms our vision of the high value of a blog media network.” said Creative Weblogging CEO Torsten Jacobi. ‘€œWe appreciate the trust our investor have shown in us.”

Jacobi said that the company will use proceeds to add several hundred vertical blogs and hire additional sales, marketing, technical and editorial staff. The company already works with 40 part timers and executive editors with experience from About.com, MSNBC, and Time Inc and Washington Post.
