An interesting blog has hit the market: carbwire.com with an auction starting at $10,000 and a buy it now price of $25,000. Revenue is $350 per month off 65000 page views a month. The details are available at Sitepoint here.
What’s particularly interesting is the sale of a blog with relatively low direct revenue, but with high exposure and reasonable traffic, for a 5 figure sum. I’ve heard of blog-related sites selling for 5 figure sums recently, but most were private sales as opposed to public sales. I’ve discussed before the potential for a market in used-blogs if you like as the value of blogs increases, perhaps its starting to emerge?
