Blogs lifts the lid on exit poll secrets

Duncan Riley> Two further articles on blogs revealing exit-poll data Poynter Online and The Guardian. From an outsiders perspective, the complicity of US television networks in agreeing to not reveal exit poll data until after polls closed is deeply disturbing and would indicate one of the following things
– a lack of competition in the US Television media sector or;
– a conspiracy to stifle competition.

Either way the publishing by blogs such as Wonkette and even The Daily Kos of the data only further indicates that blogs and bloggers will be the driving force behind freedom of speech and media diversity into the future.
