Affiliate site to sell for $1.3 billion dollars

Not blogging related but raising some interesting questions about the value of blogs and their content: The Guardian reports that Empire Poker, a Poker site that does nothing more than provide affiliate fronts for other poker sites, is currently subject to a bidding war in which the final price of the site will be will be in excess of 700 million pounds, approx $1.3 billion USD. Now that’s an affiliate site I’d like to own :-)
