"Storytelling Elevation"

Imagine combing through volumes of literature for the perfect gift and stumbling upon two exceptional finds. The first, a poignant collection of narratives aptly titled “Dime Stories.” The second, a visually stunning photo book dedicated to the iconic city of Chicago, published by none other than Trope Publishing Co.

Every flip of the page reveals rich layers of inspiration, making both compilations excellent gifts for literary and art enthusiasts alike. The man behind these treasures? Sam Landers, a voracious reader and the founder of Trope Publishing Co.

Landers, with his experience in graphic design, gifted the publishing industry with a fresh perspective. He has managed to marry thought-provoking literature with visually alluring aesthetics and continues to nourish the world with high-quality content.

Prior to Trope, Landers had ventured into entrepreneurship with Designkitchen, a design company later acquired by marketing giant, WPP, in 2008.

Landers’ fusion of literature and imagery

This brush with print technology sparked a passion deep within him that eventually led him to establish his publishing house.

In 2016, setting aside his previous commitments, Landers immersed himself in his small publishing project – Trope. The venture’s debut publication, “Trope Chicago,” featured a stunning array of photographs from 27 different photographers, kick-starting Landers’ journey on a high note.

His repertoire of publications expanded, strengthening his footing in the competitive literary market and paving the way for future collaborations with influential industry players.

Landers tasted success with the sequel “Trope London,” clinching The Edward Stanford Travel Book of the Year in 2020. This marked a promising start for the Trope City Edition series. He then continued his winning streak with “Trope Paris,” a spectacular blend of storytelling and vivid imagery that held readers captive.

The success of these books has elevated the Trope City Edition series to admirable heights, setting high expectations for future installments. Landers’ knack for bringing cities to life through his works is a testament to his storytelling prowess.
