New 9rules Due In April
April 7, 2008
That a new version of blog network 9rules is in the works has been know for some time. In a two sentence long post at the official blog, we’re told that the new version is due this month.
According to the founders, the new 9rules is a step back to the old 9rules, with the community social stuff going to Chawlk instead. It’ll be interesting to see how this turns out.

Thord Daniel Hedengren is a designer, writer, and blogger, and also the former editor of The Blog Herald. He used to be a hotshot in the gaming industry in Sweden, but sold everything and went International. Most recently he wrote a book called Smashing WordPress: Beyond the Blog, and does loads of kickass design.
Thanks for the linkage Thord, I’ll be sure to let you know when it launches!
I sure hope so, Mike! I’m curious, of course.
I’m looking forward to seeing the new site/design – you guys always have a great look & feel!
M
Yes I always look good and love to feel.
Now that’s debatable
;)
Scrivs: “You came to 9rules to see what the good content writers were talking about and you probably found some new sites you never would have come across. To make a long story short that 9rules is coming back.”
I wonder if they have any plans with regards to the 9rules bloggers they lost in when they changed their terms of service and required community participation. (Full disclosure: I was one of those bloggers.)
9rules used to be a major stop on my reading-list, but when they started pushing community instead of quality, I lost faith.
I’m curious to see how this step back works for them.
