Miami museum showcases hip hop’s fashion history
Based in Miami’s vibrant Wynwood district, The Art of Hip Hop is a museum celebrating the rich history and culture of hip hop. Their next exhibit, ‘Hip Hop’s Fashion Statement’, is set for July 31 and will explore the fusion of hip hop and fashion throughout the years.
This unique exhibit delves into the evolution of hip hop fashion, featuring everything from the oversized jerseys of the 90s to today’s cherished luxury brands. The museum’s expectation is to draw both local and tourist crowds, especially with the alluring backdrop of the Wynwood district.
Maurizio Gomez, the exhibit’s designer, unveils his innovative collection named “Old School Versus New School,” encapsulating various visual elements of hip-hop.
