Management shift at The Story post-Diageo acquisition

Story Management Shift

The Story, a leading food and beverage communications agency, has announced significant management changes following its acquisition of the global Diageo PR brief. This highlights its ongoing growth and capacity to manage worldwide accounts.

The changes involve key personnel, intended to optimize workflow and client servicing. Notably, Tarita Mullings, after a ten-year tenure at the company, is promoted to co-managing director alongside the current director, Alex Smith.

Mullings’ in-depth knowledge of the company’s operations and culture prepares her well for this role. Smith, who has been serving as the Managing Director for several years, is eager to co-lead with her, emphasizing that Tarita’s skills and leadership will significantly aid the company’s progress.

The elevation of Mullings comes in the wake of the company founder, Ailana Kamelmacher’s death in October 2023.
