Blogging for Love or Money?

Darren Rowse at Problogger is looking for help in developing a business model for the Problogger blog.

As readers may recall Darren has built a network of around 17 blogs, blogs for a living and from all accounts is making good money as well. His simple problem is that although he loves writing the Problogger blog and gains the most personally from writing it, and the conversations and relationships he is building as a result of it, it doesn’t make nearly enough money compared to his other blogs. The site is also filling his inbox with requests from bloggers seeking help that he tries to answer but take up even more time without financial return. He’s floated a couple of ideas, which themselves are worthy of reading if your in a similar position (or wishing you were), but the for love or money is always an interesting question to consider as the lines between amateur and professional start to blur.
