Normally, the media couldn’t give a crap about Joe Q. Public. But for some reason, if you’re a blogger, it seems the media WANTS to write about you.
The latest case of “blogger arrested” is a 24-year-old Singaporean who allegedly wrote the following on his unidentified blog:
“There he sat, unaffected by his surroundings, smelling like he didn’t showered (sic) in years and wore some really scary dirty clothes.”
Supposedly, he went on to make “offensive” comments about the man’s race.
If deemed to be racially intolerant, the blogger can be looking at more than 1,000 days in jail and a hefty fine.
Stories like this, while pathetically sad, are an indicator at just home ‘en vogue’ blogging is.
Do you also find that you’re reading more and more news stories that identify someone a “blogger?”
