Due to the high relevance of top search results, the most accurate, reliable, and succinct information often makes its way to the AI Overview. However, this paints a competitive landscape wherein only high-ranking search results have a chance of being selected by AI Overviews. Therefore, businesses not leveraging effective SEO strategies risk the possibility of losing visibility and potential traffic.
