311 band celebrates 34th anniversary with immersive concert
Omaha-based rock band, 311 marked their 34th anniversary in 2024 by hosting their biennial ‘311 Day’ concert at The Park Theater, Las Vegas, a tradition they’ve upheld since 2018.The fusion of reggae, punk, and rap in their music coupled with their high-energy live performances has earned them a devoted fan base.
Known for its ‘cult following’, the band’s fan base, referred to as the ‘311 Nation’, is famed for their unparalleled dedication, bringing an electrifying energy to every concert.
The 34th ‘311 Day’, brought a new production design featuring roughly 200 Robe moving lights and an adaptable automation system, adding a new level of complexity. This state-of-the-art system brought alive the varying music styles, transitioning from pulsating displays for intense rock climaxes to mellower hues for softer jazz tunes.
The stage setup took a unique design including an unusual hexagonal stage platform constructed with six trussing sections.

Design genius, Bobby Grey, who ascended from a lighting technician to the band’s production designer, ensures exciting diversity for each performance.
