Yahoo on a shopping spree
Yahoo is getting serious in the social Web 2.0 scene. They have signed an agreement to acquire contest site Bix (TechCrunch has more), and is rumored to be in serious talks with MyBlogLog. That later one is especially interesting for the blogosphere, being a ever growing multi-blog community solution. It’€™s actually pretty interesting, and is indeed spread over major sites such as TechCrunch, Wallstrip and so on. I haven’€™t tried it out myself, but it sure looks nice.
So what are Google buying today? Gravatar.com?
Thord Daniel Hedengren is a designer, writer, and blogger, and also the former editor of The Blog Herald. He used to be a hotshot in the gaming industry in Sweden, but sold everything and went International. Most recently he wrote a book called Smashing WordPress: Beyond the Blog, and does loads of kickass design.
Very interesting, especially with Brad Garlinghouse’s leaked letter (more at TC).
