Google targeting geospecific bloggers?

I spotted this Google Adsense ad at the Intuitive Systems Blog. What’s unique about it is not only are Google targeting bloggers with Adsense ads, but they are also using geospecific domains as well, in my case they served up an Adsense Ad with a Google.com.au address. Not sure whether this is a first or not, but it certainly would indicate a big campaign of getting bloggers in specific countries signed up to Google.
