Movabletype Offering An iPad For Themes?
In order to help increase the availability of high quality themes, it looks like the boys and girls at Six Apart are launching a contest for template designers, with the lucky 2nd place winner receiving a 32 GB iPad (Wifi of course).

The winners of the contest will be determined by the contest judges. Each winner will receive:
- 1st place : Adobe Creative Suite 5 Web Premium
- 2nd place : iPad Wi-Fi (16GB)
This is probably a smart move for Movabletype who has been lagging in the theme department (especially when compared against WordPress and Blogger).
While this contest deals strictly with Movabletype, it will be interesting to see if any of these themes are inherited by Typepad (Six Apart’s blog service platform).
Movabletype is accepting submissions until September 9th, and is planning on announcing a winner at the end of the following month in October (hopefully before Halloween).
Six Apart has also created an official Twitter account (@MTContest) for MT monks skilled in the art of web design, although as of right now it is tweeting only in Japanese (sorry English fans).
